About Gravity Racing:
Gravity racing events take place all across the country and are a fantastic way for people to race their home built karts. As the name suggests the karts have no power and rely on gravity to get to the bottom. It sounds easy but there are lots of different theories as to what makes a quick kart. There is an excellent community and even though everybody wants to win all teams are willing to help each other out. Gravity karts are built from a variety of materials ranging from wood all the way through to full carbon fibre designs.
About Me:
I am a 17 year old student who has a passion for engineering and motorsport. I started gravity racing 3 years ago with the help of my family. We built our first gravity racer out of different parts we sourced locally with the aim of having some fun. After enjoying the races so much I now want to build a new kart which I have designed from scratch. This will allow me to compete alongside the adults in many of the events. Check our ideas and progress on the blog page.
